I’d just like to point you in the direction of David Wenham News, a brand new news- and mediablog dedicated to the extraordinary Australian actor David Wenham, perhaps best known internationally for his portrayal of Faramir in the critically acclaimed Lord of the Rings-sequels, The Two Towers and The Return of the King. More recently, David has appeared in films such as 300, Public Enemies and Pope Joan. David Wenham News is a humble tribute to the actor and his career.

Katee Sackhoff: [...] Tricia Helfer and I are in pre-production right now on a documentary web series we are producing that we’ve called, “The Untitled Tricia-Katee Documentary Trek.” We’re going to drive cross country on our motorcycles. It’s inspired by the Van Buren sisters, who were two socialite sisters in 1916 who, to relieve the burden from men serving in World War 1, volunteered to be motorcycle mail carriers, which at the time was a job men had to do on top of their other duties. They were denied and the Army stated women didn’t have the strength or stamina to ride motorcycles, so these two socialite sisters got on 1916 Indian motorcycles and drove cross country to prove that women could do it. They drove the first two wheeled vehicle to get to the top of Pike’s Peak in Colorado, they were arrested in Utah for wearing men’s clothing; they were pretty amazing. They got to San Francisco they day they said they would get there, which in the mail delivery business is pretty important, and this took months. This was 1916 and even today the documentary is going to take us 25 days. They reapplied after they finished the journey and were denied again.

Because the sisters were trying to help the military, we decided we would raise money for the military with our ride. We decided we should give back. We’re kicking around doing a simultaneous on-line auction.

Although we are likely not to hear anything more from this pilot on an official level, we’ve today been able to update the gallery with 10 rare, site-exclusive photos of Tricia shooting the pilot episode in September 2008 in Vancouver, Canada. This is likely to be the first and last look we’ll ever get at Tricia as Rae Wicks (or Mason Wicks, according to some reports), so we do hope you enjoy this special treat from us.

We’ve updated the gallery with 7 medium-res photos of Tricia and Jonathan at the event, courtesy of the Kitten Rescue Flickr photo stream. These are the first photos we’ve had from inside the event venue (and of Jonathan at the event), and particularly nice since there has been only a handful of photos available to us from this event to begin with. The pictures furthermore reveal that Tricia and Jonathan purchased the $1,250 “Angel Table” for the event.

We’ve just updated the gallery with some more HD replacement caps of Tricia Helfer’s various television guest appearances. First off, we have for you 327 HD screen captures of Tricia as Gail in the Season 7 episode “Gorp. Fnark. Schmegle.” of the hit CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men from November 2009. As we reported earlier this month, Tricia has recently filmed a second episode for the show, which will presumably air next season.

We’ve furthermore uploaded 984 HD screen captures of Tricia’s appearance as Molly McNamara in a Season 2 episode of the CW’s popular Supernatural series, as originally aired in March 2007.

Tricia is excited to be joining the cast of Jerry Bruckheimer’s TNT drama, Dark Blue.

Dark Blue is a drama series starring Dylan McDermott, Omari Hardwick, Logan Marshall-Green and Nicki Aycox about a “crack undercover team of LAPD officers who are so covert, many of their own colleagues do not even know they are involved.” The series premiered on TNT in July 2009, and has been confirmed for a ten-episode second season. Check out the show’s official site for more information.

As of yet, we have no additional information to offer on Tricia’s upcoming contribution to the show, including whether she is joining the cast as a regular or just has a (recurring) guest role. I think we can presume, however, that she will debut on the show in its upcoming second season, the premiere date for which remains to be set. We’ll keep you posted either way!

On January 17, Tricia guest starred in the pilot episode of FOX’s brand new action series, Human Target, starring Mark Valley, Chi McBride and Jackie Earle Haley. Tricia starred in the episode as Stephanie Dobbs, “human target” Christopher Chance’s latest client and the engineer of the California bullet train whose life is unexpectedly threatened for an unknown reason.

‘Gail’ returns to the Harper house as Tricia is currently filming a second episode of the hit CBS show, Two and a Half Men.

Tricia debuted as Gail on the show last November, when she guest starred in episode 7.08 “Gorp. Fnark. Schmegle.” as Charlie’s girlfriend Chelsea’s sexy old schoolmate, coping from a difficult break-up by staying over at the Harper house.

Since the news comes from Tricia’s official site, we can call this as good as confirmed. As always, we’ll be posting specifics on Tricia’s upcoming guest episode as soon as such become available to us. Say tuned for updates!

The film Open House, has been accepted to the ninth annual Tribeca Film Festival which will take place in New York City from April 21 to May 2, 2010.

As we have previously reported, Open House is a film starring Tricia Helfer, Rachel Blanchard and Brian Geraghty and is Andrew Paquin’s directorial debut. True Blood’s Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin (Andrew is Anna’s brother) will make a cameo appearance playing the characters Jennie and Josh. The horror/thriller movie, shot in Los Angeles, tells the story of a wealthy couple in a strained marriage that hosts an open house in order to sell their palatial home. They are horrified to find out days later that one potential buyer never left their house.

As of yet, we don’t know whether or not Tricia is planning to attend the event, but we should be no means rule out the possibility of her doing so. We’ll be sure to post more information on the film, its festival screening and ticket sales as it becomes available to us. This is good news, though; hopefully this means we’ll soon get a first look of some kind of Tricia in the film!
